Community Projects

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT PROJECTS

AAUW-Morro Bay contributes to the community. Some of the 2021-22 projects are:

•  AAUW Funds
• Holiday Program Music Program Donation 
• Mildred Logan Nursing Scholarship: grant scholarship to Cuesta College nursing student
• Morro Bay High School: grant scholarships to outstanding female students
•  MBHS Women in History Essay Contest: sponsor and provide awards
• Tech Trek: provide scholarship(s) to math and science camp for 8th grade girls

Funds to support these projects are raised by members who volunteer for a variety of programs.

One of the major funding sources is the popular AAUW April tour of outstanding gardens of the Central Coast. The branch thanks the entire community for their support of this event.
